What I Believe

Have you ever wondered what happens to you after you die? If you’re looking for the answer, it is found in the Word of God–the Bible. In the Bible, John 3:16 says this: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

After we die, there are two places we can go: heaven or hell. We are all born sinners, so there’s no way that we can get to heaven on our own. That’s why Jesus came. He made the way for us so that we can be saved.

Jesus came to the earth like any one of us have: by being born. But he was different. Jesus is the Lord of the world, but he was born in a stable to a virgin. He was sinless his whole life and was humble, yet he died on a cross as if he was a criminal so that we may be forgiven! We rejected him, hated him, and sinned against him, but he still loved us! How amazing is that?

But Jesus didn’t just die and that was it, Jesus rose from the grave in three days after his death! He conquered the grave.

Salvation is a free gift from God. Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Also, Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

When someone is saved, they can have peace and joy in their lives—even through trials—because they have God on their side and heaven to look forward to!

By God’s amazing grace and mercy, He saved me. When I go through trials, I can have peace. When life is full of sorrows, or joys, I have God I can turn to and talk to through prayer. He’s my friend, my Lord, my King, my Helper. You can be saved, too. If you believe Jesus and follow him, you can be saved.

  1. Totally! Right on Gracie! I agree on all of that… I have met a lot of bloggers who believe weird things about the Bible, so it is so refreshing to see someone who believes the whole, honest truth!

    1. Yep! Of course, I’d be so glad if you did something like this on your blog! As you can probably tell, I haven’t blogged on here for quite a while, but I was just thinking about this page today and wondering if it had reached anyone with the gospel. And then I remembered all of the others who do pages like it, so that together we can reach so many people!
I hope you have a wonderful experience blogging, as I did, and thanks for commenting, Graycee!
