The other day it was very rainy, so Caroline and Grace got dressed up to go out in the storm and enjoy the weather. I’ve been planning to do this photoshoot for a while, so I’m excited to finally be posting it! Enjoy the photos!
I hope you enjoyed!
This post is also a reminder… Thanksgiving is coming up in just a couple days (on the 22nd)!! So remember to comment on my Basket of Thankfulness activity to share what you are thankful for! On Thanksgiving day I will post the list of everything we said!
Today Grace ventured outside to take a stroll and pick some rosemary to decorate the kitchen. Since it’s fall, she wanted to wear her blue coat, even though it’s not exactly coat-wearing weather yet.
Want to join along? Grab a basket and let’s go!
\
Even though it’s still pretty warm, a pleasant breeze would come along every now and then, promising that autumn weather will eventually arrive and break the heat.
What’s the weather like where you are?
Grace set to work to fill her basket with rosemary. Let me know in the comments what type of plant you want to pick!
School is very busy, so I guess I’m forfeiting the schedule in favor of posting on days that I have time… like today!
It feels like I’ve posted a lot of photoshoots lately. Do you like seeing a lot of photoshoots? Any other posts you would like to see here?
And the basket is filled! 🙂
Looks like that concludes our stroll! Let me know what you think in the comments!
What is your favorite thing about fall? Can you believe that October is starting tomorrow?
Time flies! With school started back up, my blogging schedule is a bit more on the back burner. I’m still keeping my plan to post on Thursdays, but we’ll see where the school year takes us… 😉
For this Thursday, I am excited to show you a photoshoot I got of Julie. I got this photoshoot to go with the song, “The Unmaking” by Nichole Nordeman. I really like this song, and I love the lyrics.
I’ve included the YouTube lyric video in this post so you can play the song while you look at the photos and read the lyrics along with them. Enjoy!
This is where the walls gave way.
This is demolition day.
All the debris and all this dust;
What is left of what once was,
Sorting through what goes and what should stay.
Every stone I laid for you.
As if you had asked me to.
A monument to holy things,
Empty talk and circlings.
Isn’t that what we’re supposed to do?
What happens now,
When all I’ve made is torn down?
What happens next
When all of You is All that’s left?
This is the unmaking,
Beauty in the breaking.
Had to lose myself to find out who You are.
Before each beginning,
There must be an ending.
Sitting in the rubble, I can see the stars.
This is the unmaking.
This is the unmaking.
The longer and the tighter that we hold
Only makes it harder to let go.
But love will not stay locked inside,
A steeple or a tower high:
Only when we’re broken are we whole.
What happens now,
When all I’ve made is torn down?
This is the unmaking,
Beauty in the breaking.
Had to lose myself to find out who You are.
Before each beginning,
There must be an ending.
Sitting in the rubble, I can see the stars.
This is the unmaking.
This is the unmaking.
I’ll gather the same stones where
everything came crashing down.
I’ll build You an altar there, on the same ground.
‘Cause what stood before
Was never Yours.
This is the unmaking,
Beauty in the breaking.
Had to lose myself to find out who You are.
Before each beginning,
There must be an ending.
Sitting in the rubble, I can see the stars.
This is the unmaking.
This is the unmaking.
This is the unmaking.
Had to lose myself to find out who You are.
Which photo is your favorite? Which part of the lyrics is your favorite? What’s your favorite song, or a song that is impactful to you?
Who remembers me saying in my last post that I hoped to get this one out early… 😉
Time flies!
I guess editing 21 pictures took longer than I expected, but I hope that you will enjoy this fun photoshoot that I took while on a trip a couple weeks ago! I had fun taking this shoot of Caroline enjoying some of her favorite things: being outdoors in nature and reading!
So here it is!
I have another, smaller photoshoot that I took last minute before leaving from our trip, so you will probably be seeing that one sometime soon as well!
Which picture was your favorite? Have you taken any trips this summer? If not, what is your dream summer trip?
