“The Unmaking” – A Lyric Photoshoot

Hello!

Time flies! With school started back up, my blogging schedule is a bit more on the back burner. I’m still keeping my plan to post on Thursdays, but we’ll see where the school year takes us… 😉

For this Thursday, I am excited to show you a photoshoot I got of Julie. I got this photoshoot to go with the song, “The Unmaking” by Nichole Nordeman. I really like this song, and I love the lyrics.

I’ve included the YouTube lyric video in this post so you can play the song while you look at the photos and read the lyrics along with them. Enjoy!

This is where the walls gave way.

This is demolition day.

DSCN7603PSedit

All the debris and all this dust;

What is left of what once was,

Sorting through what goes and what should stay.

DSCN7604PSedit

Every stone I laid for you.

As if you had asked me to.

DSCN7609PSedit

A monument to holy things,

Empty talk and circlings.

Isn’t that what we’re supposed to do?

DSCN7611PSedit

What happens now,

When all I’ve made is torn down?

DSCN7613PSedit

What happens next

When all of You is All that’s left?

DSCN7615PSedit

This is the unmaking,

Beauty in the breaking.

Had to lose myself to find out who You are.

DSCN7616PSedit

Before each beginning,

There must be an ending.

Sitting in the rubble, I can see the stars.

DSCN7618PSedit

This is the unmaking.

This is the unmaking.

DSCN7630PSedit.jpg

The longer and the tighter that we hold

Only makes it harder to let go.

DSCN7627PSedit

But love will not stay locked inside,

A steeple or a tower high:

DSCN7632PSedit

Only when we’re broken are we whole.

DSCN7636PSedit

What happens now,

When all I’ve made is torn down?

DSCN7633PSedit

This is the unmaking,

Beauty in the breaking.

Had to lose myself to find out who You are.

DSCN7638PSedit

Before each beginning,

There must be an ending.

Sitting in the rubble, I can see the stars.

DSCN7620PSedit

This is the unmaking.

This is the unmaking.

DSCN7623PSedit

I’ll gather the same stones where

DSCN7622PSedit

everything came crashing down.

DSCN7626PSedit2.jpg

I’ll build You an altar there, on the same ground.

DSCN7624PSedit2.jpg

‘Cause what stood before

      Was never Yours.

DSCN7643PSedit

This is the unmaking,

Beauty in the breaking.

Had to lose myself to find out who You are.

DSCN7646PSedit

Before each beginning,

There must be an ending.

DSCN7653PSedit

Sitting in the rubble, I can see the stars.

This is the unmaking.

DSCN7650PSedit

This is the unmaking.

This is the unmaking.

DSCN7648PSedit

Had to lose myself to find out who You are.

Mini Cecile and the Christmas Lights!

HIYA! It’s CECILE (the mini doll)!

The other day Gracie (Grandma? o_O 😮 Uhhh, let’s stick with Gracie.) took me to see lights! She wanted to bring her new camera, and thought she’d bring me as well, so she could post about it on her blog. Well, instead I get to post about it! Woohoo!

So I’ll be in a few of the pictures, but if I had it my way, I’d be in all of them. Oh well.

Oh, and Gracie thought she’d add Christmas music lyrics. She’s never done a lyric photoshoot before!

Enjoy!

I had a great time at the lights! I hope you enjoyed the pictures!

When I got home I was exhausted. I don’t get out much. So I cuddled up in a blanket and went to sleep.

‘Cuz that’s what Christmas is all about right? No? Oh, ok. 🙂

Which picture was your favorite?

Bye Bye!
