BIBPC the Sixth – Category 2: candle, candy cane, card, carols, celebrate, chestnuts, chill

Hello! Here is my entry for Category 2 of BIBPC!

This category is…

candle, candy cane, card, carols, celebrate, chestnuts, chill!

I am on Team Owl! I used all seven words in my photo:

The candles are in the window; theΒ candy canes are to the left of the sheet music; two cards are to the right of the sheet music; the sheet music is a Christmas carol; the cards, candy canes, carol, and festive blanket celebrate the holiday; the sheet music is for “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire” (also called “The Christmas Song”); and the blanket on the bench is there to keep off the chill!

Go Owls! It was a lot of fun thinking up this photo! πŸ™‚

Have a blessed day!

American Girl at Costco

You’ve possibly seen some posts around the ‘blogosphere’ regarding Molly, or other AG items at Costco… and here’s my contribution! πŸ™‚

Recently I went to Costco, and it was surprising how many American Girl things they had! I’ve seen dolls sold there before (such as Caroline when she was retiring, which is actually where my Caroline is from!). But they had a lot of other AG things there, too, this year!

(Including Molly πŸ™‚ ! )

Here go the pictures!

This first picture has some glare, but you can see they had an American Girl horse as well as a ballet set.

Here are American Girl pets, Wellie Wishers, Bitty Babies, and Maryellen! I’m not sure why they put Maryellen at Costco. Has anyone else seen her or a different doll at Costco?

And last but not least, Molly, back from retirement! πŸ™‚

Have you seen any AG items or dolls at Costco this year? Anyone see any other dolls besides Maryellen and Molly?

Can you believe that we’re already in the middle of the fall season? November is nearly here which means it’s almost time for the annual Basket of Thankfulness activity!!

I also have a photoshoot coming up featuring Grace and Caroline, so stay tuned for that πŸ™‚ !

Have a blessed day!

Christmas Pictures from Days of Old. Or, Well, Last Year.

Merry Christmas!

Today I want to show you some Christmas pictures I took of my dolls about a year ago! Some of these are not good quality (because I didn’t think they’d be for a blog, and I’m sure my photography’s improved since then, too πŸ™‚ ), but I hope you will enjoy them anyways!

These first three pictures are from when I was helping my mom decorate our Huge Christmas tree (we don’t have it anymore, though), and I brought Grace along!

“My hat! I dropped my hat! All the way down there!”

The next few are my dolls’ (minus Caroline; I got her that Christmas) and their Christmas tree. I don’t know where the tree is this year, since we moved, but perhaps it will show up eventually.

I hope you enjoyed looking at these old Christmas photos!

Do you think my photography’s improved since I first started blogging/since last year? Do your dolls have a Christmas tree?

It’s Father’s Day!

Today is Father’s Day! Let’s all remember to thank our fathers and grandfathers for all that they’ve done for us! Also remember to thank God, our Heavenly Father, for his greatness and goodness towards us.

Some may have a hard time on Father’s Day, whether their father has passed or is gone for one reason or another. It is wonderful to know that God is the greatest Father we could ever ask for, and those who know him can call Him their Father.

Here are some verses:

“A Father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.” -Psalm 68:5

“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.” -Exodus 20:12

“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” –1 John 3:1

Hope you have a great Father’s Day!
