Glitter Girls Outfit: Sparkling with Style – On a Hearts for Hearts doll {Review}

To expand Consuelo’s wardrobe, I found and purchased a Glitter Girls doll outfit on Amazon, hoping it would fit Consuelo! Glitter Girls are 14 inch dolls, and their outfits can fit Wellie Wishers and H4H dolls!

I purchased one of their regular outfit sets, the ‘Sparkling with Style Glittery Top and Skirt Regular Outfit.’ These sets sell on Amazon for about $10. The deluxe outfits sell for around $13.

Here are all the pieces in the set I bought. Shirt, skirt, socks, and shoes.

And it fits! The shirt is a green-blue color. The sparkly heart is made of little sequin sparkles with tulle around it.

Here are the shoes. (I took off the socks, because I prefer the shoes on their own. In case you are wondering, the socks are made of a stretchy mesh-like fabric with a solid band around the top.) The shoes are a sandal-style made of transparent plastic-y material. The sparkles are a part of the plastic, and don’t fall off ๐Ÿ™‚ .

The skirt is cute ๐Ÿ˜€ . It has two layers. The base layer is a multi-colored polka-dot fabric. The second layer is sparkly tulle. Unfortunately, these sparkles are pretty messy. As time goes on, it might shed less.

The outfit is pretty good for mixing and matching! I combined it with some different clothing items I had on hand for Consuelo. Which is your favorite outfit?

And last but not least…

A bonus picture with my photo-bombing cat! ๐Ÿ™‚

What is your favorite part of the outfit? Are you interested in Glitter Girls outfits for your H4H or Wellie Wishers (or other dolls)?

Before you go, Megan is hosting a Pen Pal themed giveaway for her 4-year ‘blogiversary’! Check it out here!

More… Sewing!

Do you like to sew? I do! Though I don’t do it too often, occasionally I get a burst of motivation and make a bunch of doll clothes. And then, after several sewing projects the sewing machine isn’t used for a while until I get another motivation burst. ๐Ÿ˜‰

But recently, I had one of those, and I made several things for the dolls! You can see my past sewing posts, here, and a second one here.

Onto the sewing…

Here is Grace modeling some Jeans I sewed. as well as a T-shirt I sewed.

The jeans were made with the Liberty Jane Jeans pattern I received from a Freebie Friday on Pixie Faire. And the T-shirt pattern is from the free pattern on Pixie Faire, here.

And here is Consuelo in a skirt I made her. I don’t think I used a pattern for this.

Last but not least, Caroline is modeling this black shirt I sewed.ย This shirt is inspired by this shirt, and this shirt from DreamWorld Collections!

I just used the same Pixie faire T-shirt pattern as for Grace’s shirt, except that I cut it so it would be longer (I used an old shirt, so the lace was already attached!). I think I got the sleeves from Pixie Faire’s pullover sweater pattern, though you could probably easily snag some sleeves from a free pattern online.

I hope you enjoyed!

Do you sew in spurts, regularly, or not much/not at all? Which piece of clothing or outfit was your favorite?

Cheery Consuelo – A Photoshoot

Good day!

Today I have the photoshoot that I had mentioned getting of Consuelo to show you!

She’s such a pretty doll, and it’s fun to play around with photographing her. H4H doll’s heads actually have a little wider range of motion than AG (their heads can move upward a bit), which adds some different posing options.

Please enjoy!

I made the dress, shoes, and headband that she is wearing, all no-sew. The headband is made with some sheer ribbon, braided and tied around her head, the dress is sort of a half-circle of fabric with openings for her arms and head cut out, and the shoes are made with denim fabric, hot-glued onto craft foam soles.

I hope you enjoyed!

Which picture was your favorite? Can you believe that Christmas is just around the corner?

I hope to do a Christmas-y post soon!

Also, Smile and Craft AG is nearly at 200 followers!! But… I don’t know what to do in celebration. Any ideas?

Have a blessed day!

A Surprise Garage Sale Find!

Hi there everyone!

Today I’m here to show you the surprise find I mentioned in my Slow Cooker Craft post!

So here’s some context.

Lately I’ve been interested in Hearts for Hearts dolls, specifically Consuelo, their Mexican doll. (What do you mean I just gave it away??)ย They are so pretty, and are a good size for little sisters for AG dolls.

So, lo and behold, as I was walking through a garage sale, there was a Consuelo doll sitting there, being sold for $1! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

And as you can probably guess, I bought her!

Meet Consuelo! ๐Ÿ™‚

Here she is before I cleaned her up.

She came with her meet shirt, shorts from another doll (I believe they are Zelia’s shorts), the Hearts for Hearts bracelet (on her as a necklace), a yellow stretchy bracelet, and also a pair of underwear. She didn’t come with shoes or earrings.

She was actually in pretty good condition!

I didn’t have to do much. I basically cleaned off her vinyl, washed her clothes, and washed, brushed, and conditioned her hair.

And here she is after!

I’m excited and thankful to have found her! She was a fun surprise.

Here she is with Caroline! I’m not sure if Consuelo should be the dolls’ sister or cousin.

Pardon this last picture’s quality

That’s about all for now! I hope you enjoyed seeing this fun find! Stay tuned for a photoshoot I got of Consuelo, sometime soon!

Do you like garage sales? Should Consuelo be a sister or cousin? What’s a fun find (whether a doll, trinket or other) that you have gotten while thrifting or ‘garage sale-ing’?

I’m thankful for this surprise, and I hope you enjoyed seeing her, too; however, it is always good to be reminded that there is so much to be thankful for, with or without these things!

On this topic, don’t forget to add things you are thankful for in my Basket of Thankfulness activity! There’s only a few more days until Thanksgiving!

Have a blessed day!
