For a while I have tossed around the idea of starting a personal blog, but wasn’t really sure. Then, back in October, I got a school assignment for my computer class to make a blog!
So I took the assignment seriously and came up with Joyful in Hope (beingjoyfulinhope.wordpress.com), based off of Romans 12:12, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
For a while after the assignment was finished, I let the blog sit, but now I want to continue it! I’m not planning on using a schedule, and posting probably won’t be too frequent, at least for right now, since I’ve been so busy with school and work, but I’m looking forward to creating new content and growing this new venture!
I’d love if you checked it out! So far I have about six posts you can browse through. (Click here! 😀 ) Let me know what you think 🙂 .
Had you found JIH before this post?
What do you think of it? What are some things you would like to see or look forward to seeing from it?
Have a blessed day!
Currently I am on a trip with my family for the week! I decided to bring Caroline along and get photos of her for you all.
Coming soon, I have a photoshoot of Caroline to show you all! Though my current posting schedule is every Thursday, I might post the photoshoot sooner.
Until then, I have some pictures from the day we left. On our way, my grandpa stopped the car so I could get some pictures of the lovely view outside. I grabbed Caroline from the car and took a few pictures there.
Stay tuned for a woodsy photoshoot soon!
And have a blessed day!
Today I have a photoshoot of Grace to show you, and also some updates on summer posting on Smile and Craft AG! Enjoy!
One of my summer goals is to use a blogging schedule during break. This past semester kept me busy with school and work, so since summer has arrived, I have some more free-time, and should be able to post more often (and more consistently)!
So today (Thursday) I decided that I would plan to start a schedule to post every Thursday!
Thus, once our backyard was shady I grabbed Grace (who I had dressed for a photoshoot the other day), and got some photos of her around some big green bushes we have. And then I did the editing and finished the post tonight 😛 !
Hopefully I will keep up the schedule so that you all can expect a post each week on Thursday!
But, next week should be different because…
Wednesday is Smile and Craft AG’s 2nd blogiversary!!!
I’m planning something special, so stay tuned for then!
And enjoy the rest of the shoot!
Before you go, Charis is hosting a giveaway for her 1-year blogiversary! She’s giving away The Girl Who Could See by Kara Swanson. Check it out here!
Which photo is your favorite? What do you think I will do for Smile and Craft AG’s blogiversary? Would you be interested in a Photoshop photo editing tutorial?
I look forward to posting here more often this summer!
Have a blessed day!
A new year has officially arrived! I am so excited for a fresh, new slate with so much to be seen as God unfolds His faithfulness and perfect plan for the year.
God is so good, which should never be mistaken to think that 2018 will be full of idealistic good times and happiness, but it does mean that God has a perfect plan for us, to refine His people, and to one day return to judge the world and rule us perfectly in glory, wiping away the stain of sin and tears for those who have followed Him in this life.
A Small Update of Sorts:
I love blogging at Smile and Craft AG, and I hope you love reading and are encouraged by it. Last semester I had some trouble keeping up on posting, and this year will probably be even busier for me, as I plan to get a job on top of school.
That being said, I’m not completely sure what the coming year/semester will look like with posting consistency, so I just wanted to give a little heads-up about that. Hopefully I’ll still be able to post relatively often, but I’ll have to wait and see! 🙂
So anyways, Happy New Year!!
So this post isn’t picture-less, here’s a dramatically lighted picture of my cat, Callie, sitting at the piano (with the beautiful song, Blessings, on the stand). (Edited in Photoshop)
What are you looking forward to for 2018? What would you like to see on Smile and Craft AG this year?
I wasn’t thinking of doing a post like this, but suddenly decided to. XD
I thought I’d talk about a few accomplishments from the past year (Mainly blog related), as well as goals for the new year!
- For my blog to grow, and improve from 2016
- To grow in the Lord and give glory to Him
- To go to the American girl store again (maybe…)
- To work on and improve my Etsy shop
- To get 100+ followers (we’re so close already!)
Here are a few of my favorite posts from the past year:
Twice Clara showed up on this blog to show you her gymnastic skills, and it was a lot of fun! She’s done her floor and bar skills, and hopefully will come again soon to show her beam skills, too!
You guys seemed to really like this one. I got quite a few comments about Caroline’s lovely hair.
Menu Monday didn’t last too long, but I got to show you how to make some fun foods while it lasted! And who knows, maybe I’ll start it up again someday!
Like I said in my list of 2016 accomplishments, I purchased a camera! And here’s where I dumped some fun experimental photos into a post introducing it! (I first said I got it in a Caption it! #2 post)
I hope you enjoyed this post!
What are some of your goals and accomplishments?
