Merry Christmas Everybody!
The big day has finally arrived! Can you believe that Christmas is finally here?
In honor of Christmas, I’m gonna share with you some Christmas photos of my dolls that I took this morning! I’ll talk along the way. 😉
Christmas is such a fun time of year. The anticipation. The thrill of giving as well as recieving gifts. The music, lights, and festivities.
But that’s not really what Christmas is all about.
Perhaps you’ve heard Linus’s speech, when he explains to Charlie Brown what Christmas really is all about.
“And there were in the same country shepherds, abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them! And they were sore afraid.
“And the angel said unto them, ‘Fear not! For, behold, I bring you tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ, the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you: Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.’
“And suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the Heavenly Host praising God, and saying, “Glory to God in the Highest, and on Earth peace, and good will toward men.
“That’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.”
Indeed, Christmas is not about Santa Claus riding his sleigh to deliver presents. It’s about Jesus, our Savior, who came to earth as a baby to die for us. To save us.
Save us from what you ask? From the bully in school? From the thief at the corner store? No.
Jesus died to save us from our sins. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” We can not earn our way to heaven. Only Jesus can cover our wickedness by his perfect sacrifice on the cross.
Do you know Jesus? Is he your Savior? Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Ephesians 3:8-9 says: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”
If you haven’t already, I encourage you to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior today! Confess your sins and repent! Pray to him to save you, and believe in Jesus to wipe away your sin.
After all, that is the meaning of Christmas. ❤
I hope you have a blessed Christmas!
